Mandatory Safety Briefing at 1PM
This is a “Just For Fun” rifle shoot that will be run like a rifle match. The goal is to have fun and be safe.
What you need:
- Open to all center-fired rifles.
- 20 rounds of ammo. (15 rounds for score plus extra rounds for sighters)
- CHAMBER FLAGS WILL BE MANDATORY. Flags will be provided if you do not have one.
- All rifles will need to be in a case when they are brought to the firing line.
How it works:
- We will be shooting at a distance of 100 yards.
- Shooters will be seated at the bench.
- Bipods, front bags, rear bags and such will be allowed. The only exception is NO ONE PIECE SLEDS. Sandbags will be provided by the club.
- Shooters will be given 15 minutes to fire 15 rounds single load for score plus an unlimited number of sighters.
- Targets will be the 6 bullseye IBS hunter style targets.
- The lower right bullseye is for sighters, the other 5 bullseyes on the target will be used for score with 3 shots at each target.
- Line touching scoring will be used. This means if the bullet hole touches the scoring ring on the target it will count for the higher score.
- Shooter will be responsible for scoring their target and handing in a score sheet. Assistance will be provided to help if you do not know how to score a target.
- ALL SHOOTERS MUST BE PRESENT FOR THE SAFETY BRIEFING AT 1PM. Exceptions for certain circumstances will be allowed, but you must contact me via email (srpcbattleship@gmail.com) at least one day in advance.
Shooters will be divided into 2 classes:
- All magnifying optics and magnifying red dots will be the first class shooting at a 4” target (Any power optic will be allowed).
- Iron sights and zero magnification red dots will be the second class shooting at a larger 6” target.
What does it cost:
- Cost to shoot will be $1 per target for members and $2 per target for non members.
- Kids will be allowed to shoot for free as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
