Rimfire Rifle Matches PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator

Rimfire Cartridges

The August Sporter match has been canceled due to construction.

We will be holding three rimfire matches, June 27, July 25, and August 22. First relay starts at noon.

Classes:

  • Sporter adult iron
  • Sporter youth iron
  • Sporter adult scope
  • Sporter youth scope
  • Any rimfire rifle/sight/caliber

If enough youths show up we will split the class into age 14 over/under.  If enough women show up we will have a class for them.  Sporter rifles must be stock 22lr rifles, no bull barrels or target sights. Semi auto, pump, lever, or bolt. Must have 5 round capacity magazine.  Any rimfire means just that. 17 HMR, 22 mag, 17 HM2 allowed. Bull barrels, target rifles allowed.  You must shoot two relays over the three matches to qualify for a trophy. You may shoot as many times as you want. Cost is $5.00/relay for adults, $2.00 for youth.

Format:

  • Unlimited sighters for 10 minutes
  • 10 shots in 10 minutes standing
  • 10 shots in 10 minutes prone
  • 5 shots rapid prone (Twice) in 30 seconds semi auto, 40 seconds others
  • 5 shots rapid seated or kneeling (Twice) in 30 seconds semi auto, others 40 seconds
  • 10 shots in ten minutes sitting/kneeling.

Rifles and ammo available at the match. We strongly recommend new shooters try out. Target is an MR-31 and all shooting done at 25 yards. Coaches allowed. Spotting scopes for sighters only. Expert class will have smaller targets and shoot slow fire only, so single shot rifles can compete.  I need volunteers to help with recordkeeping and safety officers.

Call Joe at 457-9257 for more information or email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

We may also have a “No excuse” side match. Show up and you will find out!
